Revised schedule announced; computerized draw now on December 11, 2025

The Pune Housing and Area Development Board — a regional unit of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) — has extended the deadline for submission of applications for its ongoing housing lottery. The extension gives homebuyers more time to apply for 4,186 affordable flats across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, PMRDA region, and the districts of Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli.

Applicants can now submit their online applications until 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2025, while the computerized draw will be held on December 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

🕐 Revised Schedule: Extended Timelines for Applicants

  • Online application submission: Till November 20, 2025 (11:59 p.m.)
  • Online payment (EMD): Till November 20, 2025 (11:59 p.m.)
  • RTGS/NEFT payment: Till banking hours on November 21, 2025
  • Lottery draw: December 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon

This extension comes as a relief to many citizens who sought additional time to complete documentation and financial formalities before applying.

🏠 Breakdown of the 4,186 Flats Across Schemes

The Pune Board’s housing lottery covers multiple categories under various MHADA and government schemes:

  • 1,683 flats under the MHADA Housing Scheme (First Come, First Served)
  • 299 flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) — also on a First Come, First Served basis
  • 864 flats under the 15% Inclusive Housing Scheme within the PMRDA region
  • 3,222 flats under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme within Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and PMRDA limits

(Note: The total figure includes overlapping units across categories.)

💬 MHADA Appeals for Caution Against Middlemen

Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer of the Pune Board, stated that the decision to extend the deadline followed “consistent requests from citizens seeking more time for documentation and payment completion.”

He urged applicants to apply only through MHADA’s official portals

Applicants can also reach the MHADA helpline at 022-69468100 for support.

Sakore emphasized that MHADA has not appointed any agents, consultants, or property brokers for the sale or distribution of flats. Any individual or private agency claiming to represent MHADA should be avoided. “Engaging with unauthorized persons will be entirely at the applicant’s own risk,” he warned.

🧭 What This Means for Homebuyers

The extension provides a valuable window for thousands of prospective homebuyers, especially first-time applicants, to finalize their paperwork and payments. With strong interest in Pune’s affordable and inclusive housing segment, the revised schedule ensures wider participation ahead of the computerized draw in December.
