In a significant push to affordable housing, the Maharashtra Government has approved the release of ₹29.46 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) – Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) for Scheduled Caste (SC) beneficiaries across the state.

The Government Resolution, issued on March 24, 2026, confirms that both central and state shares will be disbursed through the SNA-SPARSH system to accelerate housing projects in multiple cities.

The funds will support dozens of housing projects across Maharashtra, including:

  • Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) – Multiple large EWS housing projects
  • Pune & PCMC areas – Pimpri-Chinchwad, Kharadi, Hadapsar, Mahalunge
  • Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) – Navi Mumbai, Thane
  • Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Solapur, Sangli, Chandrapur, Akola, Buldhana, Ahmednagar, Palghar

👉 Most projects are focused on EWS (Economically Weaker Section) housing, with some including LIG/MIG units.
