MHADA cautions homebuyers that some fraudsters are using their name to con homebuyers. MHADA claims they never ask for any payment via any mobile application.

Wednesday morning MHADA the state’s housing body had to come out with a clarification that they aren’t asking people to deposit money via using a mobile application.

Actually MHADA claims that it came to know about certain fraudsters using the name of the housing body to extract money and con home buyers.

A statement from MHADA says that it has come to their knowledge that a message was doing the rounds where the fraudster was asking people to pay them via online mobile apps for a MHADA home.

This messages were floating on various social media platforms. The message was about MHADA flats being available in Dadar area, and the fraudsters were seeking money for them.

To further con people, these fraudsters were making individual calls and asking them to deposit money via online mobile applications or in a bank under the name “Corporate Central Collective Hub MHADA.’

MHADA before selling any apartment, comes out with a proper advertisement, and informs the homebuyers about all the procedure. MHADA sells homes via lottery and applications are to be made specifically for it.

MHADA also doesn’t appoint any agents to sell its flats, it sells flats only via a computerized lottery system.

MHADA also claims it won’t be responsible for people falling prey to such frauds. They have asked citizens to inform the vigilance department of MHADA if they receive any such calls seeking money for selling them MHADA homes.
