MHADA the affordable housing authority of the state of Maharashtra, has announced that in the coming one or two months, they will be holding lottery of 2,683 homes in Mumbai.

MHADA’s layout spread in Mumbai’s Pahadi Goregaon area, measures around 70,000 sq mts, and there are total 15 buildings coming up of which seven ae exclusily for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The rest have Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Incolme Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG) homes.

The EWS and LIG homes are located in the stilt plus 23 storey apartments, whereas the HIG and MIG homes are located in the stitl plus three parking plus 35 storey apartments. This is the first time, that MHADA is constructing these high (35 storey) towers.

The total number of apartments coming up on the two plots of Pahadi Goregaon are 3015 of which 2,683 homes of which Occupancy Certificate is expected soon, will be put in the lottery that MHADA is planning to put in the lottery.

Of these in Plot A. there total 1239 tenements meants for EWS, these flats measures 322 sq ft carpet,. The approxiamte cost of these apartments are Rs 35 lakh, ( the final price shall be released once the lottery is announced.)

In plot B, there are total 1776 tenements, of which 708 tenements measuring 322 sq ft are meant for EWS, priced somewhere around Rs 35 lakh.

736 tenments are for LIG, these flats measure 482.98 sq ft, and would cost around Rs 45 lakh, there are 105 tenements reserved for HIG measuring 979.58 sq ft and this flat will cost a crore. in plot B, there are 227 MIG tenements measuring 794.31 sq ft and these flats are expected to cost Rs 75 lakh.

MHADA officials claim that they are holding Rs 1 lakh per sq mt as the cost that they would be charging but the final cost of homes will be declared only during the lottery.

This would be also the first project by MHADA which will have an Electric Vehicle charging, Swimming pool too. The other amenities would also include Gym, Club House, Yoga Centre, Podium Parking and solar system for common lighting.

The EWS and LIG homes are 1BHK, whereas the MIG home is a 2BHK with a master bedroom, whereas the HIG is a 3BHK, with two master bedrooms.
