MHADA Lottery of 4,640 home and 14 plots was conducted on Wednesday at Thane.

This lottery was conducted by the Konkan Board of MHADA, which had homes in Thane, Kalyan, Virar, Ambernath, Navi Mumbai and many other areas.

The lottery was able to put a smile on the faces of 4640 families who amongst the nearly 50,000 applicants managed to win a house.

One such winner was Abhijeet Shinde, a resident of Dombivali, Shinde had applied for the first time in MHADA lottery.

Abhijeet Shinde won lottery in first attempt

Shinde had applied for a home in the Vartak Nagar, scheme, where he won the house in his first attempt. Shinde was happy that he, his wife Komal and their four year old daughter will finally move from Dombivali to Thane. Their house cost ₹15 lakh.

Sharad H won a house in MHADA lottery

This MHADA lottery also proved that Sharad H, a resident of Thane who had been staying on rent for finally have a house of his own now. Sharad also won a house in his first attempt.

For Shrikant Hande his wife Nayana proved lucky, Shrikant had been applying in MHADA lottery for years but his attempts failed. Finally this time his wife filled the form and she won a home in the lottery in Shil.

Vijay Pawar is another lucky applicant, he has been applying since 2016, but never won and today he finally won a house in the lottery. He also is a MHADA employee and won the home in that category.

Many women won the lottery this time, which also showed that there were many applicants from the fairer gender.
