Mumbai saw a rise in home sales in June, when compared to May.

In June 10,812 Registrations took place till 6 pm and the revenue generated was ₹843 crore. This revenue generated is via stamp duty

In May 9,823 sale agreements were registered. These sale agreement registration got the state a revenue of ₹832 crore.

In April Mumbai saw a total of 10,514 sale agreements being registered.

In April, the revenue generated was ₹899 crore via stamp duty.

In March the registration figure stood at 13,151 while the revenue generated was ₹1,225 crore.

Even when one compares the registration figures with June 2022, this year the numbers have seen a increase.

In June 2022, the registration figure stood at 9,919 while revenue generated via stamp duty stood at ₹728 crore.

Seema A Jobanputra Director at Ashar Group, said, “The property registration Mumbai residential market maintains its growth momentum, with more than 29,000 properties registered since April. The high registration count is directly linked to the number of serious and active homebuyers. The positive sentiment is due to increased trust and transparency within real estate industry, infrastructure developments across MMR, rising income and policy level benefits (especially the 50% premium reduction policy of 2021 where developer bears stamp duty cost).”
