MHADA’s Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board has taken a significant step towards providing transparent and efficient housing allocation services by issuing Provisional Offer Letters online through the newly developed integrated Housing Lottery Management system (IHLMS 2.0) lottery software at one click to the 3515 successful winners of the board’s recent housing lottery.

At a function held at MHADA headquarters in Bandra MHADA Vice president and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal on Monday at one click issued the POLs

Speaking on the occasion Jaiswal highlighted that the winners, who have submitted acceptance letter, have received their POLs in a record time as against the 10 months to one and half year period which was required by the previous software.

On receiving the POL the applicants have got the payment option available in their system. Jaiswal, further emphasized that they can get the possession of their home, if they follow the procedure mentioned in the POL and make the payment of their flats in given time through the online procedure.

“This system offers winners the flexibility to choose between two options: making a 100% payment within 45 days. The second option offers – paying 25% of the total cost of the flat within 45 days and the remaining 75% within 60 days. For the convenience of the home buyers a total 90 days grace period has been granted in the Provisional Offer Letter (POL). This process aims to make the allocation process smoother for all beneficiaries,” added Jaiswal.

While briefing about the procedure, Gaikwad, deputy chief Officer of the Mumbai Board highlighted that the Mumbai Board has streamlined the allocation process through the IHLMS 2.0 by eliminating paperwork, making it convenient and painless for citizens to participate. Thus the system completely devotes to Pen-less and Painless system. This innovative approach has significantly reduced bureaucratic hurdles, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all applicants.

In this lottery the Mumbai Board had declared Lottery for sale of 4082 tenements Different housing projects spread across including Andheri, Juhu, Goregaon, Kandivali, Borivali, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Powai, Taddev, and Sion. This includes 1947 tenements under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban) (PMAY-U) at Goregaon. Out of the 4082 houses available in this lottery, 128,2444 applications were received, with the highest number of applications received for the Kandivali housing scheme.
