Raju Shetti, a prominent farmer leader and former Member of Parliament, has been awarded a MHADA flat costing ₹1.20 crore in Powai, being the only applicant under the MP/MLA/MLC quota.

The MHADA Mumbai Board is set to hold a lottery for 2,030 homes, with results to be announced on Tuesday at 11 am at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in Nariman Point, where several top politicians will be present.

MHADA received a total of 1.34 lakh applications for the lottery, with around 1.13 lakh applicants completing the payment process. The lottery system includes various reservations, including those for current and former Members of Parliament, MLAs, and MLCs.

Shetti, who hails from Hatkanangle, applied for a flat in the MIG scheme located at Aadi Shankaracharya Marg, near Rambaug Police Station in Kopari, Powai. The flat has a built-up area of 116.54 square meters and a carpet area of 65.61 square meters. The total cost is ₹12,013,323, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹100,000.

When contacted, Shetti confirmed his application and expressed excitement about the upcoming lottery results, noting that he is the sole applicant for this property.
