Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL), one of India’s leading real estate developers, has announced the outright acquisition of a ~48-acre land parcel in Doddaballapur, a fast-emerging micro-market in North Bengaluru. The newly acquired land is expected to be developed into a residential plotted development with a total potential of ~1.1 million square feet.

Strategically located near the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), the land parcel offers excellent connectivity and growth potential. The development will primarily focus on plotted residential layouts, aligning with the rising demand for open, flexible housing formats in this part of the city.

Doddaballapur is witnessing rapid transformation due to its proximity to Kempegowda International Airport, infrastructure projects like STRR, expanding industrial zones, and natural attractions such as Nandi Hills. These factors are making the region increasingly attractive to both homebuyers and developers.

Speaking about the acquisition, Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director & CEO, Godrej Properties, said:

“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of this prime land parcel in Doddaballapur, a high-potential micro market in North Bengaluru. This investment reinforces our focus on expanding our presence in key growth corridors through well-planned residential communities. Bengaluru continues to be a priority market for us, and we look forward to creating a development that offers long-term value to its residents.”

With this move, Godrej Properties strengthens its presence in North Bengaluru, a region that’s quickly emerging as a hotspot for plotted and villa developments.
