The revised budget of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) for the year 2022-23 and the budget for the year 2023-2024 were recently submitted to the authority. The authority has recently approved the budget of Rs 10186.73 crore for the year 2023-2024 and the revised budget of Rs 6933.82 crore for the year 2022-2023. The budget for 2023-2024 shows zero deficit while the revised budget for 2022-2023 shows a deficit of Rs 1136.47 crore.

In the budget of the year 2023-24, a total of 12724 flats are proposed to be constructed by the regional boards of Mumbai, Pune, Konkan, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Amravati. A provision of Rs 5800.15 crore has been made in the budget for this purpose.

It is proposed to construct 2152 flats in the coming financial year under Mumbai Board. For this, a provision of Rs 3664.18 crore has been made in the budget for the year 2023-24. The board has made a provision of Rs 2285 crore for the redevelopment scheme of BDD chawls

Rs 24 crores for housing scheme at Antop Hill Wadala, Rs 30 crores for Bombay Dyeing Mill Wadala scheme, Rs 100 crores for housing scheme at Kopri Powai, Rs 213.23 crores for scheme at Kannamwar Nagar Vikhroli, Rs 50 crores for scheme at Magathane Borivali, Rs 50 crores for scheme at Dindoshi 18 crores for the scheme, Rs 100 crores for the housing scheme in Pahadi Goregaon have been provided in the budget.

Rs 300 crores for Goregaon Siddharth Nagar (Patrachawl) Project, Rs 59 crores for Dharavi Redevelopment Project Phase 1B, Rs 10 crores for Goregaon Motilal Nagar Redevelopment Project, Rs100 crores for redevelopment of Police Housing Project Colony.

It is proposed to construct 5614 flats under Konkan Board and Rs 741.36 Crores have been allocated for it in the budget for the year 2023-24. In the budget for the year 2023-24, a provision of Rs 10 crore has been made for the Virar Bolinj Housing Project under the Board, Rs 33 crore for the Balkum Thane Housing Project, Rs 35 crore for the Majiwade Thane Joint Partnership Project, and Rs 15 crore for the Miraroad Turn Key Project.

It is proposed to construct 862 flats under Pune Board. A provision of Rs 540.70 crore has been made for this purpose in the budget of the year 2023-24.

It is proposed to construct 1417 flats under Nagpur Board. A provision of Rs 417.55 crore has been made for this purpose in the budget of the year 2023-24.

It is proposed to construct 1497 flats under Aurangabad Board. For this, a provision of Rs 212.08 crore has been made in the budget of the year 2023-24.

It is proposed to construct 749 flats under Nashik Board. For this, a provision of Rs 77.32 crore has been made in the budget of the year 2023-24.

It is proposed to construct 433 flats under Amravati Board for which Rs 146.24 crores have been allocated in the budget of the year 2023-24.
