The government is committed to provide homes to homeless citizens thereby improving their living standards. As part of this effort, 1056 new homes will be built at Nakshatrwadi in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This announcement was made today by the State Housing Minister Atul Save in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

At an event held at the District Collector’s office, Atul Save conducted a computerized lottery to allocate 1133 homes and 361 available plots in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, as well as in Latur, Jalna, Nanded, Hingoli, Parbhani, and Dharashiv. These homes and plots were developed under various housing schemes managed by MHADA’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Board.

Atul Save explained that the new housing project at Nakshatrwadi will include modern amenities at par with the private developers. He added that the soon the bhoomipujan ceremony for this project will happen soon. Mr. Atul Save congratulated the board’s Chief Officer, Mandar Vaidya, and his team for organizing the lottery well and wished the applicants good luck.

The computerized lottery for the 1133 homes and 361 plots was conducted in four phases. In the first phase, the lottery was held for 957 applications received for 425 homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with Suresh Bansode being the first winner. During the event, the winners present were honored by MHADA, and they praised MHADA’s transparent lottery system.

District Collector Mr. Dilip Swami, Board Chief Officer Mr. Mandar Vaidya, and Board Deputy Chief Engineer Mr. Kishor Kumar Katavate were also present at the event.

Many citizens watched the live broadcast of the lottery through MHADA’s webcasting service.
