After Panvel, now new MahaRERA will carry out the auction of yet another developer’s property. This time that of Modular Construction, in Pune’s Shivajinagar.

MahaRERA had issued warrants of recovery for Rs 49.08 lakh as compensation to a homebuyer for the delay.

A warrant was issued by MahaRERA to the Pune Collectorate for recovery, this was for non-payment of money to the homebuyer by the developer.

The Pune city tehsildar thus taking action in this regard announced the auction by seizing a flat measuring 83.28 square meters of this developer’s Vishnu Prasad apartment. This auction has been organized on Friday May, 10 at 11 am at Tehsildar office in Peth.

If the developer wants to stop the auction, the warrant and advertisement amount will have to be paid before May 5.

The property proposed for auction is valued at Rs 1.63 crore. This property is an apartment in Vishnu Apartments built on property with a total area of ​​83.28 square meters along with covered car parking, a private terrace of 11.53 square meters and rear garden on the ground floor.

MahaRERA has issued 227 warrants in response to various complaints in Pune area. The total amount of these warrants is Rs 170.37 crores. Rs 32.92 crore have been recovered so far in 39 cases.

Complaints of house buyers regarding non-handover of possession on time by concerned developers (builders), partial abandonment of projects, non-maintenance of prescribed quality, etc. come to MahaRERA. The respective developers are ordered to pay interest/damage compensation/refund etc. within the prescribed time frame after hearing these various forms of complaints of the home buyers properly.

The Collector’s office plays an important role in recovering the amount if the developer pays the amount within the given period. Therefore such warrants are sent from MahaRERA to the concerned Collectors.
