Paramabir Singh, the former Mumbai Police Commissioner who has been in news for several reasons, recently gifted his Juhu flat, here are the details.

Parambir Singh is the center of a major controversy in the country. The former Mumbai Police Commissioner via his letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on alleged corruption charges against the then Home Minister Anil Deshmukh created a storm.

A lot many things happened since then, Anil Deshmukh had to resign as Home Minister.

However, we are not talking about the cases related to corruption that came out to the fore after the letter by Parambir Singh to Thackeray.

In this article we are talking about a real estate transaction that took place a month ago, that is in January concerning Parambir Singh.

Parambir Singh gifted his apartment located in Juhu on January 6, 2022.

The flat that Parambir Singh gifted is located on the 12th floor, A wing of the Amogh Vasundhara Co-operative Housing Society located in the Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme (JVPD) area of Juhu.

According to documents available with SquareFeatIndia the total area of the flat that Parambir Singh gifted is 137.32 square meters or 1478.11 square feet. The carpet area of the apartment is 114.43 square meters, which translates into 1231.72 square feet.

So now the question is whom did Parambir Singh gift this flat to?

He has has given this flat to his wife Savita Singh. The ready reckoner value of the apartment mentioned in the document is Rs 5.18 crore.

The stamp duty paid is Rs 200, and an equal amount was paid for the registration fees. According to documents the relation between Parambir Singh and Savita Singh is that of husband and wife.

Savita Singh also got two car parks along with the flat from her husband. Both the husband and wife have shown Police officers quarters located in Malabar Hill as their address while carrying out the gift deed.

Parambir Singh is a 1988 batch IPS officer and has served on several high posts including that of Commissioner of Police, Thane and Mumbai.

Talking about the building, Amogh Vasundhara, it has many high ranking IPS officers as it flat owners. In May 2021, a high ranking IPS officer rented her apartment located on 7th floor of the building for a five year term, the first year rent starts at Rs 2 lakh per month whereas the rent for the last year is Rs 2.31 lakh per month.

Another IPS officer in March 2020 rented his 9th floor flat for a monthly rent of Rs 2.17 lakh and other IPS officer rented her flat on 5th floor of the building for a rent of Rs 2 lakh per month in May 2019.

A detailed message sent to Prambir Singh, seeking his comment got us no response.
