In August 2024, Mumbai’s property registrations increased by 8% year-on-year, totaling 11,735, up from 10,902 in August 2023. Despite a seasonal drop due to the monsoon, which reduced registrations by 5% from July’s 12,373, the market showed resilience. Stamp duty collections surged by 32% to ₹1,072 crore, reflecting strong buyer confidence and a high volume of transactions. Residential properties made up around 80% of the total registrations, indicating robust demand and market stability.
