Madhavan and his wife Sarita have leased their high-end residential apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for a monthly rent starting at Rs. 6.50 lakh, according to property registration records reviewed on the official IGR Maharashtra portal by Square Yards.</p>



<p>The luxurious apartment, located in the prestigious Signia Pearl building, spans 388.55 sq. m. (approximately 4,182 sq. ft.). The lease agreement, registered in June 2025, spans a 24-month term with a 16-month lock-in period. The rent increases by 5% in the second year to Rs. 6.83 lakh per month, resulting in a total estimated rental income of Rs. 1.60 crore over the full duration.</p>



<p>A security deposit of Rs. 39 lakh was paid, with stamp duty and registration charges amounting to Rs. 47,000 and Rs. 1,000 respectively.</p>



<p>R. Madhavan and Sarita had purchased this BKC property in July 2024 for Rs. 17.50 crore. Based on the rental agreement, the gross rental yield works out to 4.5% in the first year and approximately 4.7% in the second year.</p>

<p>Renowned Marathi singer, music director, and filmmaker Avadhoot Gupte, alongside his wife Girija Gupte, has secured a luxurious new home in Mumbai&#8217;s upscale Bandra (Khar West) for a sum of Rs. 7.75 crore, as per property documents reviewed by <em>Square Yards</em>. The high-end property is located in Rustomjee Paramount project, developed by Rustomjee Constructions.</p>



<p>The apartment, spread over a carpet area of 1,357.77 sq. ft. (126.14 sq. m.) and a built-up area of 1,609.53 sq. ft. (149.53 sq. m.), is part of a premium development offering spacious 2 BHK, 3 BHK, 4 BHK, and 5 BHK units. The luxury home also includes three dedicated car parking spaces.</p>



<p>Located near key thoroughfares like Vithalbhai Patel Road, Swami Vivekanand Road, and the Western Express Highway, the property is ideally situated for easy access to major destinations across Mumbai. Khar West, known for its blend of exclusivity and tranquility, is a preferred neighborhood for high-net-worth individuals, offering a mix of luxury living, proximity to the international airport, top-tier schools, and premium retail and dining options.</p>



<p>The deal was finalized in October 2024, with stamp duty charges of Rs. 46.48 lakh and a registration fee of Rs. 30,000.</p>



<p>This acquisition comes amid a rising trend of celebrity homebuyers in Bandra West, with several prominent figures, including actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, cricketer KL Rahul, and actress Athiya Shetty, recently investing in the area. <p>Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan have acquired 10 apartments in Mulund for ₹24.95 crore, as reported by Square Yards.</p>



<p>The properties are located in Mulund West, known for its connectivity to central and western Mumbai. The apartments are part of Oberoi Realty’s residential project, Eternia, which offers 3 BHK and 4 BHK units.</p>



<p>The total carpet area of the purchased apartments is 10,216 sq. ft., consisting of eight units at 1,049 sq. ft. each and two at 912 sq. ft. each. Each purchase included two car parking spaces, with a total stamp duty of ₹1.50 crore. Abhishek Bachchan acquired six apartments for ₹14.77 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan bought four.</p>



<p>This acquisition is part of a broader pattern of property investments by the Bachchan family. Since 2020, they have accounted for a significant portion of celebrity real estate transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), totaling approximately 0.19 million sq. ft. and an investment of ₹219 crore. In 2024 alone, they have invested over ₹100 crore in real estate, primarily in Oshiwara and Magathane (Borivali East), including residential and commercial properties.</p>
