A new Maharashtra government resolution that came out on Thursday has directed MHADA to reduce the sizes of homes that it provides via lottery to High Income Group and Middle Income Group.

Earlier the sizes of homes for MIG and HIG were 160 Sq Mt and 200 Sq Mt respectively, now the sizes have been reduced to up to 90 Sq Mt for MIG sand above 90 Sq Mt for HIG.

Not only this the government has also changed the rules for application, earlier a person from EWS category was eligible to apply for all the schemes in all the categories now this has been reduced to EWS and LIG.

An applicant from LIG could apply in LIG, MIG and HIG schemes, but now can apply only in LIG and MIG schemes in MHADA lottery.

Also an applicant of MIG can now apply only in MIG and HIG schemes, whereas an applicant form HIG can apply in HIG schemes of MHADA lottery.

Family annual income of a person residing in MMR, NMRDA, NIT, and Municipal Corporation with population above 10 lakh will decide their categories.
For EWS it is up to ₹6 lakh, for LIG it is up to ₹9 lakh, for MIG it is up to ₹12 lakh and for HIG there’s no limit.

In rest or Maharashtra it is up to ₹4.5 lakh per Annum family income for EWS, while for LIG it is ₹7.5 lakh per Annum. For MIG & HIG it is same across the state.

Application registration process of flats started from 12.00 noon January 5, with the help of new computer application IHLMS 2.0. Around 4400 applicants have started the registration process till Thursday evening

The new mandate will be great in terms of convenience for citizens as applicants can participate in the lottery process from home or anywhere. Facilities like registration, document uploading and online payment will be easily available through this app. Applicants can download the IHLMS 2.0 computerized application on their mobiles with the help of both Android or iOS operating systems to participate in the draw.

For the convenience of the applicants, the application registration process has been made available on the official website of MHADA at https://housing.mhada.gov.in. Also the link to download the app is also provided here.

Guidance brochures, videos, help files and a help site have been made available on the website to inform the applicants about the new computer system. Applicants should go through this guidance information before participating in the draw process.

Although the application registration under the IHLMS 2.0 computer app will continue for an unlimited time, applicants can participate in the flat sale draw announced by the Pune Board till 05th February, 2023 at 11.59 PM. After that, the link to participate in the draw will be deactivated from this app.

Applicants can pay the deposit amount online till 06th February, 2023 at 11.59 PM, also applicants can pay the deposit amount through RTGS / NEFT till the office hours of the concerned bank on 06th February, 2023. Thus only the applicants who fulfill all the documents will be qualified through this app and the final list of eligible applications for draw will be made on 15th February, 2023 at 6.00 pm on the official website of MHADA https://housing.mhada.gov.in.

The computerized draw of eligible applicants will be announced on February 17 and the applicants will receive the result of the draw immediately on their mobiles through SMS, e-mail and on the app. The most important phase of New Lott Computerized Lottery System is that the successful applicants will receive the provisional letter of their flat within next two days in the online application.

Out of 5990 flats under various housing schemes in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad announced by Pune Housing and Regional Development Board, 2908 flats will not be included in the computerized draw as they are on first-come first-served basis. Also, as per the provisions of the MHAD Act, the flats are released on the basis of first come first priority basis and no eligibility criteria is required for this. The applicant will be issued a provisional letter after paying the deposit amount.

The possession process will be started immediately after the full payment of the flat price. The information about flats on first come first priority basis has been made available by the board on the official website of MHADA https://lottery.mhada.gov.in.
