<p>MHADA is holding the lottery for 5,863 Homes on December 5 for which it had received a total of 60,000 applications.</p>



<p>MHADA’s Pune Housing and Development Board has announced that a computerised lottery draw for the sale of 5863 tenements constructed in different housing projects across Pune , Pimpri-Chinchwad, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Sangli regions, will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 9:00 AM in the Pune District Council Hall.</p>



<p>A regional unit of MHADA , Pune Board had initiated the online application process for the sale on 5 September, 2023, received an overwhelming response with approximately 60,000 applications for the 5863 available dwelling units. Responding to citizens’ demands and to ensure completion of document submission process and the verification of the documents, the Pune board extended the application deadline on two occasions.</p>



<p>The available tenements for sale in this lottery include 5425 tenements in Pune district, 69 tenements in Solapur district, 32 tenements in Sangli district, and 337 tenements in Kolhapur district. Among these, MHADA offers 403 tenements from housing development plans, 431 tenements under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban), 2584 tenements under the 20% inclusive housing scheme, and 2445 tenements were available under ” the first come first serve basis” category.</p>



<p>The Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of MHADA, Sanjeev Jaiswal, along with Pune Region’s Chief Officer Ashok Patil, will also be present on the occasion.</p>

<p>Action of MHADA Mumbai Board’s Encroachment Removal Department: 16 unauthorized concrete structures demolished, encroachment on 4 plots removed. Evicted 150 unauthorized huts on a seven acre plot at Bhabrekar Nagar in Malvani-Malad area.</p>



<p>During the last 2 months, 16 unauthorized concrete constructions in Brihanmumbai area have been demolished and encroachment on four plots has been removed. The campaign has succeeded in removing encroachment on about 9 to 10 acres of MHADA plot and this campaign also includes the largest encroachment removal operation of 150 unauthorized huts on a seven acre plot at Bhabrekar Nagar in Malvani Malad area.</p>



<p>In the past two months encroachment removal campaign has been conducted by the board in Goregaon Siddharth Nagar, Motilal Nagar, Malvani Malad, Dindoshi Malad East, Santacruz East, Kole Kalyan, SVP Nagar Versova-Andheri West, Tagore Nagar – Vikhroli, Akurli Mhada Vasahat – Kandivali East, Anand Nagar Santacruz. The encroachments on the plots of MHADA in this area have been removed and the unauthorized constructions have been demolished. Encroachment on a 1.80 acre plot at Malvani Malad has recently been removed in this campaign.</p>



<p>As per the gazette notification of May 23, 2018, MHADA has been appointed as a special planning authority and has been delegated by the government to ‘MHADA’ the power to evict unauthorized construction on MHADA land under Chapter IV Section 43 to 58 of MRTP Act 1966. Accordingly, 34 Nominated Officers have been appointed area wise in Mumbai Board.</p>



<p>These nominated officers include the respective Deputy Engineers and Revenue Managers. It is the responsibility of these nominated officers to evict the illegal construction within the prescribed time period by giving a notice of 24 hours / 07 days duly to the person making new / additional construction without permission found in the jurisdiction of these officers.</p>



<p>Security arrangements are necessary from the police department to ensure that there is no law and order problem while eviction of unauthorized constructions, and also to ensure the safety of the staff-officers present on eviction duty. However, there was a delay in the removal of encroachments due to insufficient security arrangements from the local police station or lack of assurance of availability.</p>



<p>As a solution to this, a team of 25 employees of the Maharashtra State Security Corporation has been appointed by the Mumbai Board on contract basis for 1 year to provide security to the MHADA staff-officers on eviction duty. This team also includes 12 security guards with weapons. Due to these security guards, the encroachment removal campaign has gained momentum and the confidence of the MHADA officers and staff involved in the eviction campaign has increased.</p>



<p>Such was the action of encroachment removal<br>The concerned rent collector-clerk working in the circle inspects the encroachment on MHADA land. After the inspection the report is given to the concerned department. In case of unauthorized construction on MHADA plot without taking proper permission of MHADA Planning Authority, the concerned encroachment holder is given a notice to remove the encroachment on his own within 48 hours. Also, the encroachment holder is given a right of natural justice to submit written / oral evidence within 24 hours after receiving the notice. However, if no evidence is provided, MHADA takes action for encroachment eviction.</p>



<p>Unauthorized constructions by occupiers in MHADA Colony are subject to demolition by Zonal Designated Officer as per the provisions of Maharashtra Town Planning Act (MRTP Act) 1966. The cost incurred by the MHADA office for demolishing such unauthorized constructions is recovered from the concerned occupiers.</p>

<p>Authority approves MHADA’s budget of Rs 10,764.99 crore for the year 2022-23; Proposed to build 4 thousand 623 flats in Mumbai.</p>

<p>The revised budget of <a href="http://mhada.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Maharashtra Housing and Regional Development Authority</a> (MHADA) for the year 2021-22 and the budget for the year 2022-2023 were recently submitted to the authority. The Authority’s budget of Rs 10764.99 crore for the year 2022-2023 and revised budget of Rs 7976.74 crore for the year 2021-2022 have been approved by the Authority subject to the approval of the Government</p>



<p>The budget for 2022-2023 shows a deficit of Rs 2,885.92 crore while the revised budget for 2021-2022 shows a deficit of Rs 1009.02 crore.</p>



<p>In the budget of 2022-23, it is proposed to construct a total of 15,781 flats by Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Amravati, Aurangabad, and Konkan regional boards of the authority. For this, a provision of Rs 7,019.39 crore has been made in the budget.</p>



<p>A provision of Rs 3,738.40 crore has been made in the budget for the year 2022-23 for Mumbai Board and it is proposed to construct 4,623 flats. The Board has allocated Rs 2,132.34 crore for redevelopment scheme of BDD chawls.</p>



<p>Rs 29 crore for housing scheme at Antop Hill Wadala, Rs 64 crore for Bombay Dyeing Mill Wadala scheme, Rs 145.54 crore for housing scheme at Kopari Powai, Rs 50 crore for housing scheme at Magathane Borivali, Rs 15 crore for housing scheme at Khadakpada Dindoshi and Rs 250 crore provision has been made in the budget for the Pahadi Goregaon housing scheme.</p>



<p>Rs 435 crore has been provided for Siddharth Nagar (Patrachal), Goregaon project, Rs 91.18 crore for Dharavi redevelopment project phase B, Rs 15 crore for repair and redevelopment of MHADA building.</p>



<p>In the budget for the year 2022-23, a provision of Rs. 1971.50 crore has been made for the Konkan Board. A provision of Rs. 200 crore has been made in the budget for the redevelopment of the police colony at Vartak Nagar. Also, Rs. 1002.50 crore has been provided for land acquisition and land development in Mafatlal (Dist. Thane) in the budget of 2022-23.</p>



<p>A provision of Rs.664.32 crore has been made for Pune Board in the budget of 2022-23 and it is proposed to construct 1,253 flats. The Board has allocated Rs. 380 crore in the budget for land acquisition and land development at Dhanori in Pune district.</p>



<p>In the budget for the year 2022-23, a provision of Rs. 388.97 crore has been made for the Nagpur Board and it is proposed to construct 195 flats. The Board has allocated Rs 169.92 crore for land acquisition and land development.</p>



<p>In the budget of 2022-23, Rs 136.90 crore has been allocated for Aurangabad Board and it is proposed to construct 1762 flats. Rs 35.72 crore has been allocated for Nashik Board in the budget of 2022-23 and it is proposed to construct 220 flats. In the budget of 2022-23, Rs 75.57 crore has been allocated for Amravati Mandal and it is proposed to construct 136 flats.</p>
