The Pune Housing and Area Development Board — a regional unit of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) — has extended the deadline for submission of applications for its ongoing housing lottery. The extension gives homebuyers more time to apply for 4,186 affordable flats across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, PMRDA region, and the districts of Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli.

Applicants can now submit their online applications until 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2025, while the computerized draw will be held on December 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

Revised Schedule: Extended Timelines for Applicants

• Online payment (EMD): Till November 20, 2025 (11:59 p.m.)
• RTGS/NEFT payment: Till banking hours on November 21, 2025

Breakdown of the 4,186 Flats Across Schemes

The Pune Board’s housing lottery covers multiple categories under various MHADA and government schemes:

• 1,683 flats under the MHADA Housing Scheme (First Come, First Served)
• 299 flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) — also on a First Come, First Served basis
• 864 flats under the 15% Inclusive Housing Scheme within the PMRDA region
• 3,222 flats under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme within Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and PMRDA limits

MHADA Appeals for Caution Against Middlemen

Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer of the Pune Board, stated that the decision to extend the deadline followed “consistent requests from citizens seeking more time for documentation and payment completion.”

Sakore emphasized that MHADA has not appointed any agents, consultants, or property brokers for the sale or distribution of flats. Pune Lottery Case

In one of the applications, Sahebrao Gaikwad, who was allotted a flat under the Pune board lottery, had delayed payment due to financial difficulties. His request for waiver of a ₹75,000 late fee was accepted, and officials were directed to hand over possession of the flat.

Eligibility Issue Resolved After 15 Years

Daulat Adhikari’s eligibility issue related to inclusion in the master list for a tenement was resolved. The matter had been pending for about 15 years due to document discrepancies. His family was earlier shifted to a transit camp in Vikhroli after vacating a cess building in Kamathipura in 1976. His application for permanent inclusion on the master list, filed in 2010, was cleared, and he was given an eligibility confirmation letter during the Lokshahi Din.

Other Matters Heard

• Dnyandev Oroskar requested inclusion of a loft area in his apartment’s total area during redevelopment of Tulsi Building, Lower Parel. The Deputy Chief Engineer has been directed to hold a hearing within seven days and decide with the Chief Officer’s approval.
• Riddhi Waje, who had won a flat in a recent lottery but already owned a MHADA flat, was directed to surrender one flat and was allowed possession of the newly allotted unit.
• Kamlesh Samdani applied for possession of two rooms in Girgaon buildings. Officials have been instructed to hold a joint meeting with the Mumbai Building Repair and Reconstruction Board and developers.
• Subhash Chapiya raised the issue of pending audit work for Angarki Cooperative Housing Society, Borivali. Directions were issued to complete the audit from 2003 to the present within 45 to 60 days.

• 6 related to the Konkan Board
• 3 related to the Mumbai Board
• 1 related to the Pune Board
