Guided by former MP Gopal Shetty, the committee will investigate the issue and propose measures to bring relief to affected homebuyers.

Court Refuses to Stall Khernagar Redevelopment

The Bombay High Court has allowed Khernagar Adarsh CHS’s redevelopment to move ahead under Kumar Vibes, rejecting Huges Real Estate’s bid to block the project. The Court held that no concluded contract existed under revised terms and that residents’ right to safe housing outweighed the developer’s profit claims.

MHADA Floats Tender for Kamathipura Redevelopment

MHADA has launched the long-awaited Kamathipura Cluster Redevelopment Project, covering 34 acres in South Mumbai. The plan includes the rehabilitation of over 8,000 tenants and 800 landowners and will transform the area with new housing, commercial spaces, and infrastructure. The initiative, approved under DCPR 2034 Regulation 33(9), aims to create an “Urban Village” with modern living amenities and secure housing for residents.

In a major relief for stalled redevelopment projects, MahaRERA has approved a fresh registration for the Andheri-based SRA project “A and O Florante”. The previous developer, Charmme Enterprises, was terminated by the SRA due to non-performance. The new promoter, Simran Production LLP, will now take charge, while existing homebuyers’ rights remain protected under regulatory oversight.
