Eligibility and Required Documents: Applicants must be Indian citizens aged 18 years or above. A key requirement is a Maharashtra Domicile Certificate (issued after January 2018 with a barcode) proving at least 15 years of continuous residence in Maharashtra in the last 20 years. This will be captured via the online system.

Other mandatory documents include:

• Unmarried applicants: Self Aadhaar Card/PAN Card
• Married applicants: Aadhaar/PAN Cards of both spouses
• Divorced applicants: Certified court decree (final judgment copy mandatory for possession; appeal copy accepted initially)
• Reserved category: Caste verification certificate (or caste certificate if unavailable)
• Mobile number: Linked to Aadhaar (for applicant and spouse)
• Email IDs: For applicant and spouse (or self if unmarried)

Application Process and Payment Terms:

1. Register on https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in.
2. Pay earnest money to view available flats (wing/building number, flat number, floor details).
3. Select and allot a flat (one per earnest money deposit).
4. Pay 10% of the flat’s sale price within 48 hours of allotment via NEFT/RTGS/Net Banking/UPI/Debit or Credit Card. Failure to do so cancels the claim, and earnest money is forfeited.
5. Receive a provisional allotment letter.
6. Pay the remaining amount within 90 days (extendable with interest). Non-payment leads to cancellation.
7. Upload Pre-Sanctioned Letter from a bank if seeking a home loan for No Objection Certificate.
8. Full payment (including stamp duty) leads to possession letter.
