The names include Aamir Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Alia Bhatt, Vivek Oberoi and even the Raj Kapoor Studios.

With 2019 drawing a close, Square Feat India decided to collate the top 5 real estate deals of the year concerning Bollywood Celebrities.

1. Aamir Khan bought Office Space for Rs 35 crore

Actor Aamir Khan shelled out Rs 35 crore to buy a property spread over 859 sq mt at SV Road in Santa Cruz West in May He even paid Rs 2.10 crore as stamp duty for registering the property under the name of Aamir Khan Production Pvt Ltd. Along with the four office units the actor’s firm has also got six basement car parks and two open car parks. This would be one of the biggest commercial real estate deal concerning an A grade Bollywood celebrity.

The building in which the actor bought the four office units is named Prime Plaza. The building being close to his residence, and its connectivity is the reason why the actor must have opted for it.

2. Alia Bhatt Paid Rs 13.11 crore for a house in Juhu

Actor Alia Bhatt, bought a property in Juhu in January, she paid Rs 13.11 crore for the 2,300 sq ft apartment. The actress paid almost double the ready reckoner rate of the apartment, which stands at Rs 7.86 crore. The flat is on the first floor of building named GiGi apartments located inside the Silver Beach Estate.

3. Vivek Oberoi bought a bungalow in Juhu

Vivek Anand Oberoi along with his wife Priyanka Oberoi bought a bungalow in Juhu, by paying a whooping Rs 14.25 crore, which is more than the existing ready reckoner rate of the area which stands at Rs 10.59 crore. The deal was registered in March. The bungalow G-2 is located in Mandar Co-operative Housing Soceity Ltd, on Raut Land in Juhu. The actor even got a car parking along with the bungalow he purchased. 


The built up area of the bungalow is 234.20 sq mt, while the carpet area of the bungalow is 2100 sq ft. Oberoi’s paid even Rs 85.50 lakh for registration of the bungalow with the registration department.

4. Tamannaah Bhatia paid Rs 16.60 crore for a flat in Versova

Actor Tamannaah Bhatia of Bahubali fame bought a flat for Rs 80,778 per Sq ft in Versova. She bought the apartment from builder Sameer Bhojwani. The deal that was signed in May and registration documents accessed show that Bhatia paid Rs 16.60 crore for a 191 sq mt flat, which translated into 2055 sq ft. The ready reckoner rate for the apartment is Rs 4.56 crore she even paid Rs 99.60 lakh as stamp duty for the registration of the flat.

The flat she bought is located on the 14th floor of the building named Bayview located at Juhu- Versova Link road. The building is 22 storey high.

5. Raj Kapoor Studios Sold for Rs 250 crore

In the month of May, the iconic Raj Kapoor Studios located at Chembur was sold for Rs 250 crore by the five Kapoor Siblings to Godrej Properties Pvt Ltd. Ranbir Kapoor signed for his father, Rishi Kapoor while other siblings signed for themselves. Each sibling had 1/5th undivided share in the property.

The entire property is spread across 2.2 acres,(9655.10 sq mts)  and when constructed this project by Godrej will offer approximately 33,000 square meters (0.35 million square feet) of saleable area. The project that is expected to come up on the plot will comprise of modern residential apartments of various configurations as well as a luxury retail experience.
