GeoIQ, a location AI startup, has released its latest report identifying the top 25 malls in India based on footfall data for the first quarter of FY 24-25 (April, May, June 2024). The report, which utilizes aggregated and anonymized geolocation data from mobile devices, highlights the most popular shopping destinations across the country.

According to the data, the top three malls in India by average daily footfall are:

  1. Vegas Mall, Delhi – 26,212 visitors
  2. V3S East Centre Mall, Delhi – 24,282 visitors
  3. Phoenix Marketcity, Greater Mumbai – 23,000 visitors

The report also noted a 7% decline in average daily footfall at these top malls during April and May, likely attributed to rising temperatures.

City-Specific Highlights:

  • Mumbai: The top malls include Phoenix Marketcity (3rd), R City Mall (4th), Viviana Mall (5th), Seawoods Grand Central (10th), and High Street Phoenix (12th).
  • Delhi NCR: The top malls are Vegas Mall (1st), V3S East Centre Mall (2nd), Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden (8th), Select Citywalk (11th), and Gaur City Mall, Greater Noida (19th).

Malls Outside Major Metros:

  1. Elante Mall, Chandigarh – 6th
  2. Phoenix Marketcity, Pune – 7th
  3. Sarath City Capital Mall, Hyderabad – 9th
  4. Palladium, Ahmedabad – 15th
  5. Lulu Mall, Lucknow – 17th

Ankita Thakur, Co-Founder and Chief Data Officer of GeoIQ, emphasized the significance of their data. “Consumer data from offline spaces has been challenging to access.
