The survey is 68% complete yet and MHADA will soon come out with appeal for residents and citizens to report to them if they find any cessed building that could be dangerous to reside in the city.

Last year the list comprised of 18 dangerous buildings. Talking about them, Ghosalkar said, that 9 of the dangerous buildings have been issued NOC for redevelopment while some are in court and for remaining buildings repairs are ongoing.

A total of 135 transit accommodations have been finalized by MHADA in Kandivali for tenants, who may have to vacate their homes during monsoon or during any untoward incident.

MHADA has also appointed agencies that will immediately rush to a spot and repair and carry out other needful requirement whenever they will receive a distress call.

The repair board has set up a helpline center in Tardeo which shall be operation 24 hours.

Apart from this the authority has also brought back 23 retired officials to help them as they are currently facing a shortage of staff.

The reason for zero dangerous buildings this year Ghosalkar says, is that in the last year, they have attended every call in regards to building repairs and action was immediately taken whenever required.
