Amitabh Bachchan has shelled out Rs 31 crore to buy a duplex in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area. The flat is located on the 27th and the 28th floor of the building.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan paid Rs 31 crore to buy a duplex in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area.

The building in which Amitabh Bachchan bought the duplex is named Atlantis.

According to registration documents accessed by SquareFeatIndia, Amitabh had bought the apartment on December 31, 2020. He registered the duplex with the state government’s registration department on April 12, 2021.

Amitabh paid a stamp duty of Rs 62 lakh which is 2% of the total consideration of the duplex. The duplex measures 529.94 square meters. This translated in 5,700 square feet.

Along with the duplex flat, the actor will also have an access to six car parks in t he building.

The deal was signed between. Crystal pride developers and Big B.

The Maharashtra government had announced a discount of 3% stamp duty for those who paid the stamp duty till December 31, 2020 and 2% for those who paid stamp duty till March 31, 2020.

The government also gave a time period of four months for those who have already paid the stamp duty to register their agreement of sale.

Between the period of September 2020 till March 2021 a lot of deals including several celebrities took place in the city of Mumbai.

Last year actor Hrithik Roshan paid Rs 97.50 crore for an apartment in Versova. Hrithik’s flat measures 38,000 square feet.

Sunny Leone recently bought a apartment for Rs 16 crore in Andheri. The area of Sunnny Leone’s flat is 4,365 square feet.

Janhvi Kapoor paid Rs 39 crore for an apartment in Juhu. Her flat measures 3,456 square feet.
