Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has put his Mumbai house on rent. The building in which the house is located earlier was the Royal Palace of the Gwalior princely state.

A rental deal was recently inked in Mumbai, the deal concerns two apartments in the iconic Samudra Mahal building Worli.

The deal is of two flats belonging to Jyotiraditya Scindia, the documents mention the union minister as His Highness Maharaja Jyotiraditya Scindia.

This building today stands at a place, where earlier stood the Royal Palace of Gwalior royal family. Jyotiraditya Scindia took over the title of Maharja after his father Madhavrao Scindia.

The flats rented by Jyotiraditya Scindia are on the 27th and the 28th floor of Samudra Mahal.

According to documents accessed by SquareFeatIndia.com, the documentation was carried out on January 14, whereas the rental deal was registered on January 17, 2022.

The per month rent for the two apartments is 5.15 lakh, whereas a deposit of Rs 30 lakh has been deposited too.

The apartments are 227 and 228, the flat on the 27th floor measures 1692.95 square feet whereas the one the 28th floor measures 1860 square feet.

This taking the total area put on rent by Jyotiraditya Scindia is 3552.95 square feet. Along with the apartments, the tenants which is Triton International Pvt Ltd also will have a access to one open car par in the compound and a covered park in the basement of the building.

The flats have a history apart from the Scindia’s being the owners of the apartments, the flats in 2015 and 2016 was rented by Yes Bank.

Documents accessed shows that Jyotiraditya Scindia on May 15, 2015 had rented the same apartments to Yes Bank for a monthly rent of Rs 3.45 lakh and a deposit of Rs 20.70 lakh.

Again the flat was rented by the politician to Yes Bank on January 1, 2016 for a monthly rent of Rs 4.75 lakh and a deposit of Rs 28.5 lakh was deposited for the rental deal.

Meanwhile, the minister is occupied with the work assigned to him by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in regards to Operation Ganga, an operation to help evacuate Indian citizens from the war struck zones of Ukraine.
