The Enforcement Directorate attached properties belonging to the family members of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

What may look like a major step by the Enforcement Directorate against the Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut, properties belonging to the politicians family members have been attached.

ED tweeted, “ED has provisionally attached immovable properties of Rs 11Cr under PMLA in Patrachawal redevelopment Project case.The attached assets are in form of lands held by Pravin Raut at Palghar,flat at Dadar of Smt Varsha Raut and plots at Alibaug held by Varsha Raut and Swapna Patkar.”

Immediately after the news related to the attachment broke out, Shiv Sena MP and one of the architect of the Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra tweeted ‘Asatyamev Jayate’.

Raut is considered as the close aide of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and post the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, he was seen as the man who helped form the alliance of Sena-NCP-Congress.

The action is in connection with a probe into the Rs 1,034-crore floor space index (FSI) fraud at Patra Chawl in Mumbai.
