NAREDCO National Real Estate Development Council Signs MoU with Warehousing Association of India, to solve problems with construction and land that warehousing developers encounter

National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO)-an apex real estate body which works under the aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Warehousing Association of India (WAI). WAI’s members comprise mainly developers and operators of warehouses, as well as those stakeholders that are associated with the Warehousing Industry.

The MoU aims to address the construction and land-related difficulties that warehousing developers confront. It also endeavours to resolve obstacles and issues that regulators, licensees, permits and approvals and in development and operation of warehousing and logistics businesses have to deal with.

The collaborators will also be creating guidelines for ethical, efficient, and effective logistics, warehousing, and other related business practices. Furthermore, through combined seminars, webinars, and other outreach initiatives, NAREDCO and WAI will promote sustainability awareness.

Rajan N Bandelkar, President, NAREDCO stated that “With the signing of this MoU we have paved the way for deep partnership and collaboration to solve the problems of construction and land-related difficulties that warehousing developers confront. Dissemination of knowledge by both the bodies will bring great value and learnings to the industry. In addition, the NAREDCO members will make a huge contribution to the effort of standardisation of warehousing infrastructure and land related assets.”

Also commenting on the collaboration, Sunil Tyagi, Honorary Secretary, Warehousing Association of India said, “Our signing the MOU with NAREDCO one of the premier organisation of Real Estate Developers in India is yet another step in WAI ‘s endeavour  to promote the interests of warehousing industry in India. Our aim is to work with various industry leaders/organisations to achieve the goals we have set up for WAI.

We are collaborating with NAREDCO to reveal high standards of efficient, effective and ethical practices in the warehousing industry and this is a leap in that direction. No better time than now, with the government policies providing the tail winds of growth. It’s all coming together well and we are looking forward to fast track action in transforming the warehousing sector. Our collaboration will surely be fruitful for the industry.
