Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey was upset with builders, but finally the developers community has heard him.

In his third Facebook live held in March the police commissioner told the the city why was he upset with the builder community.

The police commissioner was upset because citizens were being harassed.

The commissioner had informed in his live that Mumbai Police had initiated action against Mahavir Developers in Chembur for carrying out work during the night.

The police commissioner himself informed via his live that under section 115 of Bombay Police act action was taken against the Developer in Chembur.

The police commissioner who sounded unhappy with the apex body of developers in the city had said, “I had called MCHI and they thought, saheb must be saying all this, but nothing will happen, OK, I think we had called those fellows, developers and given them warning, shall not misuse rights given to you (builders). But it appears this has not been listened to. Hold on, yesterday we took action in Chembur under Bombay Police act, but now we will take action under IPC.”

He had said, “You (builders) are getting very good business, limit your happiness to yourselves. Do not cause sadness to everybody else.”

Finally CREDAI-MCHI came out with a letter asking all its members who are developers to not carry out construction activity between 10 pm to 6 am. Non adherence to this will invite disciplinary action read the letter.

Not only this, developers have been refrained from any noise making construction activity like piling, excavation, breaking etc, on Sunday. this is to ensure that eh residents in the vicinity of construction sites get to enjoy silent Sunday.

The developers are also asked to put up information boards at the main entrance of the construction sites displaying info about working hours, name of the project and of the contractor.

So now if residents find developers not following the above mentioned rules, they can complain to police and action shall be taken.
