Renowned film producer Madhu Mantena, known for his blockbuster hits like Ghajini and Queen, has expanded his investment portfolio with a significant foray into Mumbai’s real estate market. Documents obtained by Square Yards confirm that Mantena’s company, Big Bang Mediaverse Private Limited, has purchased three luxury apartments in the prestigious Juhu locality, totaling Rs. 25.75 crore.

Juhu, a highly sought-after neighborhood, is known for its celebrity presence, prime location, and excellent connectivity to major Mumbai areas such as Andheri and Bandra. The area’s vibrant infrastructure and proximity to entertainment hubs make it a hotspot for affluent buyers.

The three newly acquired properties are located within the Jeevan Estates Co-operative Housing Society Ltd in Juhu. The largest of these apartments spans approximately 1,550 sq. ft (144 sq. m) and was purchased for Rs. 10.95 crore, with stamp duty fees amounting to Rs. 65.7 lakh. The second apartment, measuring 1,250 sq. ft (116.13 sq. m), was bought for Rs. 8.8 crore, with stamp duty costs of Rs. 52.8 lakh. The smallest of the acquisitions, an 851 sq. ft (79.06 sq. m) apartment, was purchased for Rs. 6 crore, along with stamp duty fees of Rs. 36 lakh. All three properties were officially registered in December 2024, each incurring a registration fee of Rs. 30,000.

Madhu Mantena, an influential name in Indian cinema, is renowned for his contributions to Hindi, Telugu, and Bengali films. His production credits include the iconic Ghajini (2008), which earned critical acclaim and an IIFA nomination, as well as the award-winning Queen (2015), which won the Best Feature Film award at the 62nd National Film Awards. Additionally, his films Masaan and Wrong Side Raju received accolades at the National Film Awards in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

Mantena’s move into the real estate sector reflects his growing influence and diverse business interests, cementing his status as both a successful producer and entrepreneur.
