The Maharashtra Urban Development Department has approved ₹5,585.68 crore in GST compensation for 29 municipal corporations covering April and May 2026, with BMC topping the list at ₹2,587.55 crore and Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad close behind at ₹485 crore and ₹457 crore respectively.
