MahaRERA vide order dated January 10, 2023 has made it mandatory for new registration and renewal of agents to undergo training and obtain the prescribed certificate. An ‘agent’ in the real estate sector is a very important link between home buyers and developers.

Agents are often the first contact customers make. Clients get the primary information regarding the project from them. Considering this importance of agents, all agents working in this sector should know the important provisions of RERA Act.

There should be uniformity, consistency and clarity in providing basic information about regulatory provisions like Agreement for Sale, Allotment letter, mat area, defect liability period to the customer. It is on the basis of this information that consumers make a home buying decision. Therefore, MahaRERA has made this training and certification mandatory keeping the customer’s interest in mind.
