2812 Real Estate Agents out of 3110 successful who appeared for the MahaRERA exam of which result was declared earlier this month. 3 women from Mumbai bagged 96% marks jointly to rank first. MahaRERA is the first regulatory authority in the country to make such examination mandatory for agents in the interest of consumers

Out of 118 candidates above 60 years of age, 7 are women and 360 women candidates out of total 2812 candidates.

The three women to top this exam are Neha Agrawal, Bela Shah, Deepa Dattani, even the first exam was topped by a woman real estate agent was Neha Chhabria from Pune.

The result of the second examination of real estate agents held on August 6 has been declared and 2812 out of 3010 candidates have passed. The result of this second exam is 94%.

The result of the first exam was 96%. In the first examination, 423 candidates appeared for the examination and 405 were successful. This time almost seven times i.e. 3010 candidates appeared for the exam and 2812 have been successful.

Agents are the vital link between the customer and the developer. Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is the first authority in the country to make it mandatory for agents to obtain certification based on specific training and exams to guide clients properly with regulatory provisions.

In this result, 3 women from Mumbai have secured 96% marks and have jointly secured first position. Apart from this, out of 2812 successful candidates, 118 candidates are above 60 years. There are 7 women in this and 360 women are included in the total of 2812 successful candidates.

Agents from Mumbai, Pune, Pandharpur, Latur, Jalgaon, Dhule, Amravati, Akola, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nashik, Sangli, Satara, Solapur appeared for the exam held on August 6.

MahaRERA vide order dated January 10, 2023 has made it mandatory for new registration and renewal of agents to undergo training and obtain the prescribed certificate. An ‘agent’ in the real estate sector is a very important link between home buyers and developers.

Agents are often the first contact customers make. Clients get the primary information regarding the project from them. Considering this importance of agents, all agents working in this sector should know the important provisions of RERA Act.

There should be uniformity, consistency and clarity in providing basic information about regulatory provisions like Agreement for Sale, Allotment letter, mat area, defect liability period to the customer. It is on the basis of this information that consumers make a home buying decision. Therefore, MahaRERA has made this training and certification mandatory keeping the customer’s interest in mind.
