The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) conducted its 13th Lokshahi Din (Democracy Day) at Grihanirman Bhavan, Bandra (East), where 15 applications from citizens were heard. The session was chaired by Sanjeev Jaiswal (I.A.S.), Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of MHADA.
Pune Lottery Case
In one of the applications, Sahebrao Gaikwad, who was allotted a flat under the Pune board lottery, had delayed payment due to financial difficulties. His request for waiver of a ₹75,000 late fee was accepted, and officials were directed to hand over possession of the flat.
Eligibility Issue Resolved After 15 Years
Daulat Adhikari’s eligibility issue related to inclusion in the master list for a tenement was resolved. The matter had been pending for about 15 years due to document discrepancies. His family was earlier shifted to a transit camp in Vikhroli after vacating a cess building in Kamathipura in 1976. His application for permanent inclusion on the master list, filed in 2010, was cleared, and he was given an eligibility confirmation letter during the Lokshahi Din.
