In a big step towards citizen-friendly services, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has launched ‘Mhaadasathi’, an AI-powered chatbot that promises instant, reliable information for homebuyers and applicants. The service, inaugurated by MHADA Vice President & CEO Sanjiv Jaiswal, is now live on MHADA’s official website and will soon be available on mobile platforms.

Why This Matters for Homebuyers

For lakhs of people applying to MHADA lotteries or tracking redevelopment and housing projects, the biggest problem has always been long queues, repeated office visits, and delays in getting answers. The new chatbot solves these problems by:

  • Offering instant replies in Marathi and English.
  • Giving voice-enabled support for easier interaction.
  • Reducing the need to physically visit MHADA offices.

  • With 15 crore documents already available online, MHADA has seen a decline in RTI applications, as citizens directly access information.

Official Word

“In this digital era, MHADA is committed to providing citizens with fast, transparent, and accessible services. The Mhaadasathi chatbot will ease difficulties by reducing office visits, waiting time, and ensuring instant delivery of accurate information,”
Sanjiv Jaiswal, Vice President & CEO, MHADA

For homebuyers, the AI chatbot means less dependency on agents and middlemen, faster updates on housing schemes, and more transparency in MHADA operations.
