Bhushan Kumar of T-Series paid Rs 167.50 Crore in the previous year to acquire a bungalow in Juhu. The deal was signed in August 2020, stamp duty of Rs 8.37 crore was paid.

The year 2020 may have ended five days ago, but real estate treasures are still tumbling out of it.

This deal could be easily dubbed as the biggest realty deal of the year 2020, and will be spoken for quite some time.

The reason being the people involved in it and also the amount.

Bhushan (Dua) Kumar of T-Series, last year acquired a bungalow in Juhu. He paid Rs 167.50 crore for the property.

The bungalow is based within the Vasanta Theosophical Co-Operative Housing Society Limited, Juhu.

The bungalow bought by Bhushan Kumar is named Besant Villa. The sellers include a mother and two sons, who have been equally distributed the consideration paid by Bhushan Kumar.

Documents made available to SquareFeatIndia by those who were in the know of the deal show that the bungalow measures, 6710 square feet. The land on which the bungalow stands measures a whooping 1545.7 square meters.

The documents further show that in December 1941 an indenture of lease was made between the society, the Governor of Bombay, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bombay Presidency and the then owners of the property.

The property then came in the hands of the legal heirs of the then owner, who now transferred it to Bhushan (Dua) Kumar for the residue of the period of 998 years.

When contacted Bhushan Kumar for a comment, he denied the deal. The deal took place on August 21, 2020.

Documents accessed further show, that a stamp duty of Rs 8.37 crore was paid for the registration of the property.

Bhushan is the son of legendary Gulshan Kumar, who started T-Series and went ahead to become the Music Mogul of the country. Documents show Bhushan’s name as Bhushan Dua, son of late Gulshan Kumar.

As per the T-Series website, Bhushan is the Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Only last month Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor paid Rs 39 crore to buy a triplex in Juhu.

In October actor Hrithik Roshan had bought an luxurious apartment spread over several floors for Rs 97.50 crore.
