The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra has issued a directive instructing builders and contractors in Mumbai not to hire Bangladeshi nationals. BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar announced that any Bangladeshi worker found at a construction site must be immediately reported to the police, and the responsibility for ensuring compliance lies with builders and contractors.

The directive aims to regulate the employment of foreign nationals in construction projects and reinforce security measures. The state government has emphasized strict adherence to this order.

Bhatkhalkar stated that the move is part of the government’s broader efforts to address illegal immigration concerns. Builders and contractors have been urged to take note of this directive and ensure compliance to avoid legal consequences.
