Believe it or not but more than half a dozen Projects belonging to the state housing authority MHADA have their prominent presence in MahaRERA’s list of lapsed/expired projects.

When last week Squarefeatindia wrote about 644 projects that were put in the expired projects list for the year 2017 and 2018 by MahaRERA the homebuyers and the real estate industry woke up to a rude shock.

Many till then weren’t even aware that such a list even existed. Now we have some more information that will shock you all further.

MahaRERA last week came out with another set of projects that expired in the year 2019. This list is the biggest among all the three as it contains more than 1100 projects.

The combined three list has many developers from the state and the city of Mumbai. However, what caught the attention was that the list also features the state government’s housing authority MHADA.

A mere glance will tell you that in the year 2019 list there are at least half a dozen projects belonging to Mhada that has been listed by MahaRERA in its expired project list.

In the year 2018 and 2017 the list did contain projects belonging to MHADA, but they were just one and two respectively.

But the 2019 list has a lot of MHADA projects and below is the details from all the three lists released by MahaRERA.

What does lapsed project means?
MahaRERA defines lapsed projects as; validity of MahaRERA registration of projects that has expired and where the builder cannot advertise, market, book, sell or offer for sale, or invite any person or persons to purchase in any manner any plot, apartment, or building, in the projects.
