Mandatory Training and Certification

MahaRERA has underscored the importance of training and certification for all real estate agents. As of January 10, 2023, MahaRERA mandated that both new and renewing agents complete mandatory training and certification. Out of approximately 47,000 agents registered with MahaRERA, 13,785 had their registrations canceled due to non-renewal. Additionally, over 20,000 agents had their registrations suspended by April for failing to meet the training and certification requirements.

Importance of Well-Trained Agents

Real estate agents serve as critical intermediaries between homebuyers and developers, providing essential information about projects, agreements, and other key details. Ensuring that agents are well-trained and knowledgeable is crucial for safeguarding homebuyers’ interests and maintaining transparency in the real estate sector.
