Maharashtra Govt Issues Orders to Regularise Pre-2011 Residential Encroachments on Govt Land

In a relief measure for poor families, the Maharashtra government has decided to regularise purely residential encroachments on government land that existed before 1 January 2011. The policy offers free regularization up to 500 sq ft and charges only 10% of market value for additional area up to 1,500 sq ft, with a last date of 31 December 2026 for applications.
