Real Estate Agents are the backbone of real estate industry. There are many real estate agents in the state of Maharashtra, but this city has the highest number of real estate agents.

Real Estate Agents are the one who help builders get homebuyers. There hardly is a month when builders don’t throw a party for brokers.

There are thousands of real estate agents spread across the state. After RERA act got implemented, any one carrying out the business of a real estate agent has to be registered with MahaRERA in the state.

According to the Annual Report 2020 released by MahaRERA a total 23,755 real estate agents are registered with the authority.

The Authority commenced online Real Estate Agent registration process from 1st May 2017.

“In total 23,755 Real Estate Agent Registrations have been granted as on 30th April 2020.”

In the year 2017-2018 a total of 14,044 real estate agents got registered with the authority.

In 2018-19, a total of 5,678 real estate agents registered with MahaRERA.

In the year 2019-20, MahaRERA saw a registration of 4033 real estate agents.

Maharashtra has districts like Gadchiroli, Washim and Hingoli with only 1 registered real estate agent.

There are 12 such districts in the state where the number of registered real estate agents is in single digit.

There are only three cities in the state which has thousands of real estate agents.

Pune has close to 4,229 real estate agents, Thane has 5446 real estate agents.

But it is only Mumbai which has 10,753 real estate agents, which is the highest in the state.

Palghar has 736, Nagpur has 585, and Nashik has 292 real estate agents registered.

The average real estate agent registration with MahaRERA per month stands at 344.
