The Maharashtra government has issued a revised notification in January 2025, regarding the allocation of 2,000 square meters of land in Bandra Reclamation (Survey No. 791/A) to cricketer Ajinkya Rahane for the establishment of a Cricket and Sports Training Center. This amendment follows a cabinet decision made on October 14, 2024, modifying the previous government resolution dated October 7, 2024.
Key Revisions in the Government Notification
- Expanded Purpose of the Land Allocation
- The original resolution mentioned that the land would be allotted for a “Cricket Training Center.”
- The revised notification now expands its use to a “Cricket Training and Sports Center.”
- Changes in Construction Allowance
- The earlier rule stated that 10% of the land area could be used for rental purposes and 15% for construction.
- Under the new amendment, construction on the land will now follow the guidelines of Brihanmumbai Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR) 2034, eliminating the fixed percentage limits.
- Approval and Digital Availability
