Former Member of Parliament, from the Congress and a known leader has recently paid a whooping Rs 63.34 crore for a flat in Mumbai’s Worli.

This women MP was also an ex-union minister in the late 90’s, and represented the Southern state of Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament.

Documents accessed by SquareFeatIndia show that, Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury, along with her daughter Poojita bought a flat in Worli’s Three Sixty West for a whooping Rs 63.34 crore.

Lets get in to the details of the deal, the deal was signed on February 23, 2023, in Mumbai. The seller, is Oberoi Realty Limited, and the apartment that Congress leader bought is on the 31st floor of the highrise, which happens to be the 15th habitable floor of the building.

Both the buyers being women, they even got a discount of 1 per cent in the stamp duty, a stamp duty of Rs 1.47 crore was paid for the registration of the apartment’s sale agreement.

The total area of the apartment is 6179.82 sq ft as per the documents available. This makes the per sq ft rate of the deal as Rs 1.02 lakh per sq ft.

Along with the apartment the Congress leader and her daughter will also have access to three car parks in the building.

A detailed message sent to the Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury got us no response.

In the same building, BJP MLA from Maharashtra had paid Rs 42.5 crore for an apartment a few years ago.
