Ranbir Kapoor signed on behalf of his father Rishi Kapoor exactly a year ago when RK Studios was sold.

On May 2, last year RK Studios located at Chembur, Mumbai was sold by the Kapoor siblings to Godrej Properties Ltd. The iconic studios was sold for Rs 250 crore.

Rishi Kapoor died on April 30 at a Mumbai hospital and his last rites were preformed by his son Ranbir Kapoor in presence of close relatives.

Rishis’ death came exactly a day after the death of another acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan. Both the deaths came as a shock for the film fraternity and film lovers.

Coming back to Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. The sale agreement a copy assessed by this reporter shows that it had the name of all the five Kapoor siblings.

While Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Roma Jain signed the agreement of sale. For Rishi Kapoor it was his son and actor Ranbir Kapoor who signed the papers. Similarly for Ritu Nanda it was Nikhil Nanda who signed the agreement.

The document also revealed an interesting fact, that all the three Kapoor brothers have Ranbir as their middle name. For example, it is Randhir Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Ranbir Kapoor, and Rajiv Ranbir Kapoor.

Noted film journalist Shubha Shetty says, the full name of Raj Kapoor, is Ranbir Raj Kapoor, hence the middle name Ranbir for the three siblings.

RK Studio is spread across 2.2 acres, (9655.10 sq mts)  and after construction this project by Godrej will offer approximately 33,000 square meters (0.35 million square feet) of saleable area.

Godrej is constructing a multi-storied apartment in place of RK Studios now. The apartment will be named as Godrej RKS.

The building when constructed will have ultra luxury homes. It will have 3,4 and 5 BHK apartments.

Along with the luxury apartment, there will be 157 closed car parks after the construction is done.

The work on the construction of the building is expected to be completed by December 31, 2023. The building will have three basements, one plinth and one stilt, and 15 Number of Slab of Super Structure.
